WATCH D.O.G.S., a K-12 program, invites fathers, grandfathers, uncles, or other father figures to volunteer at least one day all day at their child's/student's school during the school year. Individuals sign up at the Dads and Kids Pizza Night kickoff in the Fall or in the front office any time during the school year. WATCH D.O.G.S. volunteers perform a variety of tasks during their volunteer day including greeting kids at the entrance to school, monitoring the lunch room, assisting with PE and recess activities, and helping in the classroom with a teacher's guidance by working with small groups of students on homework, flashcards or spelling.
To be a WATCH D.O.G., please complete the following steps:
1. Complete a volunteer application with LISD (all on-campus volunteers must do this once per year).
2. Fill out the WATCH D.O.G.S. registration form.
3. Contact Angela in the front office to set up a date to be a WATCH D.O.G. (512) 570-6600
